DESCRIPTION:Mumbai couple\, who went on a nationwide tour for organ donation\, got the support of the city’s Naamyaa Smile Foundation\, many social organizations would jointly make aware about organ donation in Jharkhand\,Jamshedpur. couple from Mumbai has come out for an awareness campaign about organ donation. The couple have been running awareness campaigns about organ donation in dozens of cities after getting out of their car from Mumbai. On reaching the city of Ratan Bhal Shekhar Chillana and his wife Namita Dutta\, they were welcomed and greeted by other social organizations including Kunal Sarangi\, founder of Naamyaa Smile Foundation. \nIn an congratulation program organized at a hotel in Sakchi\, Kunal Sarangi expressed gratitude to the couple for this noble initiative. On this occasion\, he said that many people lose their lives due to apathy towards organ donation. He expressed disappointment over the government not taking any initiative regarding organ donation in Jharkhand. He said that in the year 2019\, the Central Government has implemented the National Organ Transplant Program with a budget of 149.5 crores to promote organ donation. Kunal Sharangi expressed confidence that Jamshedpur city is one of the major cities of India in the field of blood donation\, due to being an conscious citizen here. Jamshedpur can also set an example in the field of organ donation in the whole country. He said that in recent times there has been an increase in the awareness among the people regarding organ donation. But it is sad that no process for organ donation has been started in any hospital in the state so far. He said that in the coming days\, other social organizations of the city will talk to the government in this regard and demand a concrete initiative at the earliest. Sarangi said that even today in India there is a tradition of donating the organs of living people only. Organ donation of a dead body is only 5 percent of the total organ donation.
